CyberGun Company
In 1986, a company by the name of Les Trois Pylones, was founded. They dealt in gun replicas. This business made great progress and thus started to expand. Within 10 years, this company actually became the world leader in the licensed exact replica pistol market. By this time they were known as 3P.
From 1996 through 1999 this company enjoyed outstanding success. In fact, on December 9, 1999 Les Trois Pylones went onto the Paris free market. Then, at the beginning of 2000, they signed a world exclusive license with:
- Colt
- Beretta
- Taurus
- Desert Eagle
In September 2001, Les Trois Pylones changed their name for a second time. Now they are known as Cybergun. In this year, the United States made their first orders from this company. Until this point, the United States was a country that had not yet been exploited by Cybergun. However, by 2002 this market had taken off and by March 31, 2003 the United States composed 24.1% of the total market. At the same time, Europe was holding its own and new markets, such as Japan, were being won in that area as well.
On July 5, 2002 Cybergun airsoft company successfully moved onto the Euronext market. While in their first full year on this market (in 2003), this company was able to grow by 66%. However, this growth was primarily driven by the market in the United States. For this reason, there was justification for a subsidiary to be formed in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in November 2003. At this point John Steele, who was the former vice-president of licensing at Smith And Wesson was hired. Also in 2003, 2 revolutionary patents were filed. These were for the Bax and the Cyclone.
Cybergun Buys SoftAir
Cybergun has gone on to buy out its wholesale distributor SoftAir USA on April 1, 2004. Also during this year, Cybergun managed to negotiate a major contract with a large chain store. This increased their sales within the United States alone from 1,300 to 2,600. By the end of September Cybergun went on to acquire the Beretta license. Since then everything has been full speed alone for this ever growing company.
