Got Airsoft Accessories?

Senseless or thrill-seeking, these are the two polarized opinions that people have of Airsoft. Narrow-minded people tend to criticize Airsoft players as exposing themselves to pain and injury for a pointless simulation of one of the darkest sides of humanity – war. Thrill-seekers see it for what it truly is a video gaming on steroids.

If narrow-minded people were forced to play Airsoft, they'd most likely have different preferences for what accessories to prioritize. They'd place more importance on defense rather than offense, and their main strategy would probably involve hiding under the biggest rock they can find.

Airsoft Accessories for narrow-minded

• Kevlar Helmet
  A grade bullet-resistant helmets aren't just for real battlefields – a BB pellet can take out your eye or tear through an eardrum (and possibly reach your brain). In fact, BB guns have killed children (and even teens) that were shot in the head, even when the pellet hit a hard part of their skull.
  
  Even if you don't go for a military-grade helmet that can stop a magnum round (they're also very expensive), make sure it covers your entire head. Goggles won't cut it – we're talking motorcycle helmets here.
• Neck Protection
  Real-life snipers go for the neck for a guaranteed kill – only amateurs go for the head. Unlike your cranium, even a BB pellet could penetrate the soft flesh of the human neck – and they have.
  
  In many cases helmets or vests (which will be covered below) either covers the neck area as well or comes with a detachable neck-piece.
• Kevlar Vest
  No, you don't actually need Kevlar to stop BB rounds. If you can afford it though, knock yourself out. If you're a guy, get one that covers your crown jewels as well – and this is not optional.

Airsoft Accessories for thrill-seekers

• Laser pointer
  A favorite in 3D first-person shooter video games and action movies, its appeal is undeniable. Not only does it make you feel like a SWAT team member, but it allows you to target without looking through the gun's sights.
• Zooming Scope
  It won't do you much good in close-quarters combat, but with a high-powered airsoft rifle nothing comes close to the satisfaction of picking off your opponents from afar.
• Grenades
  Sick of the other team hogging a strategic spot? Throw them a gift that will truly stun them – a blast of over 100 airsoft pellets going in all directions.
• Land Mines
  If on the other hand your team is the one holding onto a strategic spot, you'd do well to booby-trap any access points or paths leading up to where you are with a few BB land mines. Die with laughter when you hear a painful scream of an opponent who was trying to sneak up on your sniping spot from behind.
• Pellets (BBs)
  All the best airsoft guns in the world are useless without any pellets or gas, especially since bayoneting or rifle-whipping someone in a game of Airsoft would be a criminal offense in the real world. Be sure to keep a variety of weights for different situations.

Just remember that even if you're a thrill-seeker, protection is a must. Stay safe, and have fun blasting your opponents to bits with these airsoft accessories
