Players need to know and frequently use Airsoft Hand Signals to communicate with their group in scrimmages. Hand Signals are simple hand motion to command orders and concepts without allowing the enemy to hear the instructions. The team assigns the leader of the group to signal all the commands however in hostile situations other players in the group might use hand signals. The following are the most commonly used hand signals used in airsoft games.
1. Halt
The halt airsoft signal involves raising the flat stiff hand up. This should inform the group to halt and
automatically get down or kneel to present less of a target to an enemy’s snipers or ambushers.
2. Attack
Performing this airsoft signal, the hand should be making a cutting motion with a flat hand in the direction
of the attack.
3. Ok
This airsoft signal would inform the group that it is all clear or no enemy in sight. Using the index finger
and thumb, connect the two and raise the hand.
4. Hurry Up
The hurry up airsoft signal involves raising a clenched fist up and down above the head. This will command
the group to begin walking or running quicker.
5. Enemy Seen
This airsoft signal would inform the group that the enemy is in sight or near. With two fingers, place
the fingers close to the eyes then point in the direction of the enemy.
6. Get Down
Doing this airsoft signal, the hand should be flat moving down. This will inform the group to get down,
lie flat, or craw.
7. Ambush
The ambush airsoft signal involves raising the hand and covering the eyes then pointing in the direction
to be ambushed. This will alert the group to form an immediate ambush.
