Airsoft Players - Want to Have Gas
Posted by AirsoftGuns. Follow us on TwitterDon’t hand airsoft gun shooters any Rolaids, many of them want to have gas…they want nitrogen gas. Though some airsoft gun shooters choose not to use gas, many of them own an airsoft gun that uses nitrogen gas, C02, or red gas.
When not using gas powered airsoft rifles or pistols, shooters choose to use electric or spring action airsoft guns. For extended shooting, often gas powered airsoft guns are avoided because there is concern that it may damage the gun. Shots can also slow down as the gun becomes colder the more it is shot. The gun can actually freeze up and stop shooting all together. With green gas there is less risk of damage from the high pressure. When using red gas, be sure the manufacturer recommends or approves the use of red gas with your airsoft gun.
To reduce the risks of damage to the airsoft gun and risks of the airsoft gun freezing up, the following can be done:
- Avoid extended play on the field
- Use only manufacture recommended gas
- Allow the gun a break to warm up
- Use a nitrogen gas and high pressure gas mix
- Have a second gun available to switch out
- Save the gas powered airsoft guns for less intense games
Managing the risks of using airsoft guns that use gas like nitrogen, is worth it for gas airsoft gun fans. Before purchasing, see if you can rent or borrow a gas airsoft gun to see how they really shoot. Having a spring airsoft gun as your main gun will prevent you from not getting on the field because you don’t have gas or spare batteries.
Semi-automatic and automatic nitrogen gas airsoft guns shoot fast, hard, and accurate. Rifles and pistols are also available. A gas airsoft gun that doesn’t have blowback will be lighter and is more durable because of less moving parts. Some airsoft gun fans prefer gas-powered guns that have blowback because it gives the realism that many shooters want when shooting airsoft guns.
Nitrogen gas is not only used for airsoft guns, but also for replica grenades. They can be shot through a launcher or thrown. BB’s or powder will shoot out of the replica grenades. Launchers are expensive, so the projectile grenades aren’t as commonly seen out on the field as often as the replica grenades that are thrown.
When nitrogen or other gases are used to power an airsoft gun, the risk of injury is increased and it is important to follow basic airsoft gun safety guidelines. To keep safety simple…treat every gas airsoft gun like a loaded gun. Disconnecting the power and double-checking the chamber to make sure it is empty is important when it comes to gas airsoft gun safety. Though airsoft guns are categorized as toys, they are replications of real guns that can shoot out pellets with a lot of force. Airsoft guns should be stored out of reach of children who may not use the nitrogen gas airsoft gun safely.
Nitrogen gas airsoft guns can provide a great airsoft gun shooting experience.
