Airsoft Gun Cleaning

Use a soft damp fabric to clean the exterior of the gun. Spray silicone oil to clean the barrel never use petroleum lubricants. The barrel should be cleaned after every extensive use. A qualified professional should be the only one to service the internal gear systems.

Unjamming

When an airsoft gun gets jammed, it is an annoying inconvenience. Any additional shooting after the jam may result in damaging internal parts therefore the airsoft player should instantly discontinue shooting. There are verity of possible causes for jamming.

Fuses

The fuses are used to prevent abnormal electricity discharge from the battery to travel into the gun motor or other electrical parts in the gearbox. The initial part of the airsoft gun to check is the fuse if it stops working.

Field Care

While in an airsoft scrimmage game, the gun should be handled with care. Even though it is made with metal parts and is rather durable, it cannot endure the same abuse as the real gun. The following guidelines should be act upon.

• Prevent any direct impact to the stock or barrels.
• Wear a sling to avoid dropping the airsoft gun.
• Avoid cramming dirt into the barrel.

Battery

The battery for the Electric Airsoft Gun (EAG) is a very important part of the gun since it is fully dependant on the battery to operate. Whenever it is not in use, the battery should be unplugged. Also never operate the gun with the wrong battery because the incorrect power can damage the motor, piston, and gears.
