Laws Against Airsoft

Just starting out as an airsoft player? And wondering what laws are against airsoft? Or in other words Airsoft Laws? Around the world this sport has become extremely popular so not matter were you live you’ll properly have restriction when using your airsoft guns. We have wrote this small article to help everyone even though it’s wrote in English you can use a online translator to allow you to read it. Anyways, lets get to the reason your reading this… laws against airsoft!

In the country your living in more than likely airsoft is legal however you probably have a few laws against airsoft to keep you safe and bystanders. The first common law is having an orange tip at the end of the barrel on ever airsoft gun. You could get severely injured if a bystander thinks you are a threat with a real firearm either they will call the cops or grab their own real firearm. This could end up in a tragic outcome. For this specific reason, a law was passed that requires every airsoft gun to have an orange tip at the end of the barrel. The downfall is that the orange tip still doesn’t prevent all bystanders and cops to quickly distinguish your airsoft gun from a real firearm. This can be caused by the distance from the gun, being nighttime, or other reasons. Even though this hasn’t prevented all dangers between you as an airsoft player and bystanders, it has helped.

The second common law is the maximum muzzle velocity of the airsoft gun. If you shoot another player or friend with an airsoft gun that is over the maximum muzzle velocity, it could brutally harm the person by puncturing skin, damaging an eye, or even something worse. In most countries, the maximum muzzle velocity is the following:

There is no point in having your airsoft guns increased over these maximum velocities. You should easily be able to shot your enemy at these settings. The third and final common law is using the trademarks of real firearms. The reason for this is basically the same as the orange tip law. It is another preventive procedure for bystanders to be able to differentiate between an airsoft gun and a real firearm.

Of course there are many other laws against airsoft but these are the most common ones that you should be aware of as an airsoft player. Even if you might think some of these laws are stupid, they are meant to keep you away from harm and still be able to enjoy the sport of airsoft. We would like to thank you for reading this small airsoft article and we hope it has helped you.
