SIG Sauer P228 Airsoft Pistol
In the Matrix, Apoc supplies Neo with the SIG Sauer P228 as a back up pistol at the
first meeting of the two. The P228 was introduced to the market in 1989 as a mini
companion to the full sized SIG Sauer P226. These airsoft guns are constructed with
high grade ABC composite plastic and parts from KWC. The SIG Sauer P228 is
manufactured in Germany.
In 1992, the US Army legitimately agreed to use the SIG Sauer P229 as a M11 pistol. This compact sidearm was issued to Military police officers and aircraft crews because the personnel needed a more compact pistol than the full sized M9.
