The maintenance on airsoft guns can be done by the officers themselves and if it needs to be done elsewhere, it is affordable. Support and safety equipment costs less than with firearms. Accessories are low cost as well.

More Training Facility Options

There are more facilities to shoot airsoft guns than firearms. Though there are regulations regarding shooting airsoft guns, there are more facilities available to shoot airsoft guns at. In addition, the re-enactments are more realistic at these facilities. Some facilities can be rented out just for law enforcement to train at.

Realistic Re-Enactments

Firearms are mainly shot at targets that may or may not move. With airsoft guns, because of the low velocity, they can be shot at people, which makes for a much more realistic training sessions when re-enacting possible situations that at law enforcement officer may encounter. Proficiency can be reached sooner with air soft gun scenario play because it is more realistic.

Recreation And Competition

In addition to be used for training, airsoft guns can be used for recreation also. In doing this, proficiency on the job is increased due to additional practice recreationally. Some law enforcement officers form airsoft teams and compete in airsoft games. This increases the bond among the officers in addition to improving their shooting skills.
