Spring airsoft guns are excellent for rookies, who are beginning in this sport, because of their cheap cost, exceptional low failure rates, and incredibly durability. Even with the drawback of needing to manually cock prior to each shot, these spring airsoft guns are still rather popular. On the field, you might hear other players refer to these types of guns as springers and spring guns. Manufacturers have developed these guns to replicate the true size and look of real firearms. They even styled a few after famous firearms from World War II such as the VB M14 sniper rifles, M3 Grease sub machine guns, and Luger pistols/rifles. The Lugers are pistols however they have the capability to be converted into a rifle. Many airsoft players only buy spring airsoft guns as collectables and never use them on the field.

Airsoft Shotguns

Airsoft shotguns are primarily short range weapons used during close quarters battle because of their excellent maneuverability. Airsoft shotguns are most commonly spring powered and have a pump-action loading and cocking mechanism. Both the traditional tube fed magazine and clip fed magazine shotguns are available. You can also choose between a full-length stock for more accurate fire or pistol grip for greater maneuverability. All these options and more for airsoft shotguns can be found at AirSOCOM.com.
